Welcome to Homify. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and safeguard information when you use the Homify app.
1. Information We Collect
We collect and process the following information when you use Homify:
- Account and session data: Homify creates an anonymous, device-based Supabase user ID and session so the app can save your homes, rooms, tasks, reminders, preferences, and subscription state. Your display name and avatar may be stored. Your email address is stored only if you link or restore with Apple, or if you use a legacy email-based account. Apple identity information is used only if you choose Apple backup or restore.
- Household content: Homes, rooms, tasks, task assignments, task history or logs, comments if present, invite and membership information, reminder settings, language, and preferences you create or configure in the app.
- AI room-analysis data: If you choose AI task suggestions, Homify processes the room photo you take or select, plus related scan metadata described below.
- Diagnostics and analytics: We may use crash or error reporting via Sentry if configured, and product analytics via PostHog if enabled. Analytics events may include app opened, onboarding completed, invite sent, paywall viewed, purchase, and auto-distribute used.
- Push notification tokens: If you grant notification permission, we use push tokens to send reminders you configure.
- Subscription and purchase status: Subscription status and purchase entitlements are handled through RevenueCat and the applicable app store.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Homify service
- To create and maintain your device-based account/session
- To save and sync homes, rooms, tasks, reminders, memberships, and preferences
- To send task reminders and notifications you configure
- To manage your subscription and premium features
- To provide AI room analysis and task suggestions when you request that feature
- To improve the app through crash reports and analytics
- To respond to your support requests
3. AI Room Analysis
If you use AI Task Suggestions, Homify processes the room photo you take or choose through a Supabase Edge Function named analyze-room so it can identify a room or area and suggest cleaning or maintenance tasks. AI analysis starts only when you use this feature, and suggestions are shown for your review before tasks are created.
Scan metadata may include your user ID, home ID, locale, MIME type, approximate image size, AI room label or type, suggested tasks, selected task indexes, created task IDs, status or error code, and monthly usage count. AI scan records are stored privately and used to operate the feature, enforce the current quota of 30 successful analyses per month, troubleshoot errors, and improve reliability.
4. Third-Party Services
Homify uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — Authentication, database, private storage, and Edge Functions (supabase.com/privacy)
- Google Gemini API — AI room photo analysis and task suggestion generation (policies.google.com/privacy)
- Apple Sign-In — Optional account backup and restore (apple.com/privacy)
- RevenueCat — Subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
- Sentry — Crash reporting (sentry.io/privacy)
- PostHog — Product analytics, if enabled (posthog.com/privacy)
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase with access controls such as row-level security (RLS). Private AI scan records and related storage are restricted to authenticated, authorized app flows. We use HTTPS for data in transit and follow reasonable security practices to protect your information.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data with the service providers listed above only as needed to operate Homify, provide subscriptions, send notifications, process requested AI analysis, maintain security, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time

8. Children's Privacy
Homify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
