📋 Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Homify mobile application. By downloading, accessing, or using Homify, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Homify, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Homify is a household task, room, reminder, and shared-home planning application that allows users to:

Create and manage homes, rooms, and household task lists
Invite family members or housemates to a shared home
Assign, track, and complete tasks together
Receive reminders and notifications for scheduled tasks
Use AI Task Suggestions for room photos when eligible
Access premium features via subscription

3. User Accounts and Recovery

Homify can be used without manually creating a login. By using the app, you agree that Homify may create and maintain an anonymous, device-based Supabase account and session to provide the service. You are responsible for activity and content associated with that account or session.

Apple backup and restore is optional and can help you recover data across devices. If you do not link Apple before losing device or session access, your recovery options may be limited. We reserve the right to terminate accounts or sessions that violate these terms.

4. AI Room Analysis

Eligible users may submit room photos for AI Task Suggestions. Homify may process those photos with third-party AI providers to generate suggested cleaning or maintenance tasks. This feature is intended for household spaces, not sensitive personal images.

AI suggestions can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your actual home, safety needs, or preferences. You must review suggestions before adding tasks, and you remain responsible for deciding which tasks to create, assign, or complete.

AI room analysis may require Premium or Home Premium access and may be subject to monthly quotas or other limits. You agree not to upload photos you do not have the right to use, or sensitive personal, illegal, or non-household imagery for AI analysis.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Homify offers optional premium subscriptions managed through Apple's App Store (RevenueCat). By subscribing:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings
Deleting your Homify account does not cancel an active app-store subscription
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create or submit in Homify, including homes, rooms, tasks, comments, reminder settings, AI-submitted room photos, and AI outputs. By using the service, you grant Homify a limited license to store, process, display, and transmit that content only to operate, secure, support, and improve the app, including AI analysis when you request it.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
Interfere with or disrupt the service
Reverse engineer or copy any part of the app
Upload photos or content you do not have the right to use
Upload sensitive personal, illegal, or non-household imagery for AI analysis

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Homify is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or that AI suggestions will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your home.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Homify after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
